A substantial vintage cut crystal table lamp dating to 1968, with a large 11-inch unbrella mushroom form shade and tall matching crystal column.
The shade is made up of 18 repeating radial panels with intricate starburst and hobstar-style motifs, deep polished miters, crosshatched printies, fan and flute cutting, and a finely serrated scalloped edge. The tall crystal column continues the dense geometric cutting, creating exceptional brilliance and dramatic reflected light when illuminated.
The ornate metal fittings are marked L&L WMC 1968, identifying the metalwork with Loevsky & Loevsky White Metal Castings. The crystal itself appears to have been supplied separately, as was common with lighting manufacturers of the period, and its exact maker remains unidentified. Research points toward high-quality European lead crystal, with West German and Bohemian/Czechoslovak production among the possibilities.
Condition: Pristine overall condition. The crystal is exceptionally well preserved with no chips or cracks observed. The metalwork shows tarnish, patina, and age-related wear consistent with its vintage manufacture. Complete and functional.
