A beautiful vintage Irena hand-cut lead crystal bowl, made in Poland and featuring the striking Pinwheel pattern.
This is a piece I especially love for the movement in the design. The deeply cut pinwheels seem to sweep around the bowl, surrounded by dramatic fans, fine crosshatched details, and starburst cutting. The bold sawtooth rim finishes it beautifully and gives the bowl a wonderful silhouette.
What really stands out to me is how much sparkle this bowl has. At over 3½ pounds, the crystal feels substantial and beautifully made, and all of that deep cutting catches and reflects the light from every direction. It is even more impressive in person than photographs can fully capture.
I think it would look gorgeous as a centerpiece on a dining table or sideboard, where the light can really bring the cutting to life. It is equally beautiful displayed on its own or as part of a collection of vintage European crystal.
