An elegant vintage lead crystal hurricane lamp by Crystal Clear Industries, crafted in Germany in the discontinued CCI19 pattern.
This is simply a very hurricane lamp. What I especially love is the combination of sparkling clear crystal with the softer frosted floral decoration. The detailed flowers and leaves give it a graceful, almost romantic quality, while the deeply cut geometric designs add plenty of brilliance and sparkle.
The dramatic scalloped crown rim is one of my favorite details. It gives the piece a beautiful silhouette, and the substantial pedestal base is heavily cut with radiating flutes that catch the light wonderfully. There is something interesting to see from every angle. It is decorative enough to stand beautifully on its own on a dining table, mantel, console, or in a crystal display.
