Beautiful signed Empire Cut Glass Company oval platter in the Success pattern, dating to the American Brilliant Period.
This substantial 12-inch oval serving platter features an exceptionally intricate hand-cut design with overlapping geometric curves, hobstars, starbursts, fine crosshatching and deep cutting throughout. The elaborate central star and richly cut scalloped edge create exceptional brilliance and sparkle.
The platter bears a faint Empire signature, an important detail supporting the maker attribution.
Perfect as an elegant serving piece for hors d’oeuvres, desserts, cheeses or holiday entertaining, or displayed upright as a decorative example of American Brilliant cut glass.
