Elegant vintage Limoges Castel porcelain trinket box, made and decorated in Limoges, France.
This beautiful rectangular box features a rich cobalt blue porcelain body decorated with intricate gold floral motifs, an ornate gilt floral border, and a decorative gold-tone clasp. The gently curved sides and raised lid give it an especially graceful shape.
The interior is finished in the same deep cobalt blue, and the underside bears the Porcelaine Limoges Castel France – Fabriquée et Décorée à Limoges mark.
This piece was likely made in the mid-to-late 20th century, approximately the 1950s–1980s, as Limoges Castel items bearing this mark are typically from that period.
A lovely collectible as well as a functional decorative piece—perfect for jewelry, keepsakes, or simply displayed on a dresser, vanity, console, or coffee table.
